What is Extreme Skijoring?

Western skijoring is an action-packed competition where a horse and rider pull a skier at a fast pace through a course that includes gates, jumps, and rings. Here in lawless Wallace, we use ATVs instead of horses! Competitors race for prizes and glory. Above all, skijoring is just another reason to get outside during the winter in Wallace and socialize, all while supporting a great cause!

How Does it Work?

Step 1: Let it Snow!

Extreme Skijor needs a lot of snow! Thankfully Wallace gets an average of 82" of snow each year.

Step 2: Build the Track

Mere days before the race, we convert downtown Wallace into an Extreme Skijor track, complete with jumps and obstacles!

Step 3: Race Day!

Finally, race day arrives! Competitors will compete over two heats navigating our fast track and obstacles.
